I went back to Smiths to buy more cheap cheddar cheese and free cream cheese. I was meaning to use the $5 off Smith’s coupon I got from the last shopping trip and instead gave them a $5 off Walgreen’s coupon. The cashier took it and the $5 came off my order. I sure hope that it is their policy to accept other stores coupons – or else I’ll feel really bad, I’ll have to look into that. My lack of thinking probably had to do with the fact that I took my kids grocery shopping with me and of course all the seat belts on the carts are broken. I’m sure grocery stores all over town have footage on video cards of my kids running and dancing around their stores barefoot.

Iirc, Smith’s is part of the Kroger chain. This week, many Kroger stores are accepting competitor’s coupons, so I think it’s all right that they took your Walgreen’s coupon. I believe they’re also accepting Albertson’s as well. It could vary according to region, so some Kroger stores may accept them and some wont. Iirc, I read about it in the AZ section of PinchingYourPennies.com
Btw, I really like your new blog theme!
