30 Weeks Pregnant

I am now 30 weeks pregnant which means that I will now be meeting with my midwife more often than once a month. I had an appointment last Saturday where she came to my home because she had a client who was in labour in my area.
The baby is measuring right where she should be so she is probably about 4 lbs which the weight of an average baby at 30 weeks gestation. She is still head down but posterior (face up), most likely she will turn face down before delivery. JJ says that Bekah was born face up but I’m not so sure, I didn’t have back labour with either Sariah or Bekah and the labours were fairly short. Either way I’m sure everything will go just fine.
My midwife suggested taking cayenne pills to prevent hemoraging but I have a really hard time with swallowing pills so I’m just going to incorporte the actual pepper into my meals. It will taste good in chili, stirfrys and other mexican type dishes.
I received my birth kit today. It includes many of the supplies for me and the baby during after delivery. The kit cost $35 with shipping which is a great price considering all the items that come with it. With the rise in popularity of home births, selling birth kits sounds like it would be a successful home based business.
