My 3 Year Old’s Puzzle Addiction

PhotobucketSeveral weeks ago a friend gave Sariah and Rebekah and Princess puzzle book that has 7 24 piece puzzles. The following day they threw all the puzzle pieces around their bedroom so I put all the pieces in a Ziploc bag and hid the book and puzzle pieces.

2 nights ago JJ had to make a few important phone calls so in an attempt to keep the kids quiet I pulled out the puzzle. To my amazement Sariah put together a puzzle all by herself and did all 7 puzzles yesterday (with the pieces all mixed together). She did this over and over again. Little did I know that Sariah’s puzzles would become her best appetite suppressants. She would just not eat her dinner as she continued repeating the process of putting the puzzles together. Rebekah actually ate both her own and Sariah’s dinner.

JJ managed to get the puzzle book away from Sariah before bedtime so she did eat a peanut butter before bed.

Today has been much better. She worked on her puzzle but also ate breakfast and lunch and did other activities. I think her puzzle skills are wonderful but not the only thing she should be working on :)
