Canadian Thanksgiving
Oct
13
Yesterday we celebrated Canadian thanksgiving with a chicken, potatoes, carrots, stuffing, green bean cassarole, gravy and pumpkin pie.
My husband began our celebration with telling our daughters that “Canada is a far away country of snow and penguins”. He mentioned the snow because he knows how annoyed I am that many Americans just think that it snows in Canada all the time – It hardly snows in Vancouver! And he mentioned the penguins because our two year old LOVES penguins.
JJ came home from the lab early yesterday because his stomach felt weird and he had a headache so the professor sent him home fearing it might be the start of a flu. Luckily he felt better by the evening and had an appetite and now he’s back at school today with all the other scientists working on their different cancer research projects like Asbestosis & Lung Cancer.
I am really hoping we don’t get hit with the flu this year, none of us got it last year so there is hope.

Ooops!
I didn’t know that Canada doesn’t snow either…
Thank you for clearing that up for me.
*wink*

I’m so glad you had a nice thanksgiving meal. You should come to Edmonton, Thers plenty of snow here already and I am sure I can find some penguins somewhere or maybe order them from the arctic, although I sometimes think Edmonton is the arctic.

I guess I should take back my previous comment, the snow magically disappeared yesterday and fall is back! I am glad we have some nice weather left.
