Rebekah’s Amazing Recovery

Rebekah’s recovery has been amazing. While at church on sunday we had a few people ask us when Rebekah’s surgery will be and we told them that it was on thursday they couldn’t believe how energetic she was. She complains about her “owie tummy” everyday but other than that she is completely back to normal.
I know adults who have had laparoscopic surgery and while their recovery is much quicker than those who receive a more invasive surgery they still don’t feel like doing much for a few weeks. Not Rebekah. Actually she seems more energetic. She is usually so good at staying with JJ and I out in public but this week she has been running away from us. I wish baby treadmills existed so I could let her burn off all her energy and have her stay in one place. However, I love that she is so happy and able to do everything she wants to so quickly after surgery.
We still have to wait until Friday before she can bathe or swim. She REALLY needs a bath, wiping her down with a wet towel just doesn’t work as well! Maybe we’ll go to the water park this weekend (after we bathe her of course). For the last 2 years we have gone to the water park on Memorial day so we’ll be a week late this year.

Angels are definitely watching over her. Oh yes! I believe a dip in the pool would make her feel that much better emotionally too.
