It is unusual for me to have time to myself especially since somedays Sariah will not take a nap. However this week I have been getting quite a bit of time to myself.
Last night I visited with a blogging friend, Bethany, who lives just 5 minutes away from me. Well it took me 20 minutes to drive there because I made a wrong turn and figured I would just go by the grid system until I ended up at a train track. However it took only 5 minutes to get back home
It was a really nice visit and so nice to meet Bethany before Saturday as she is going to come to my daughters birthday party.
Tonight I amazingly got both Sariah and Rebekah to bed before 8:30 and with JJ working on school stuff I am up late (which is also unusual) learning about new ways to save money at the grocery store. I bought a Sunday paper from the grocery store to see if it would be worth it to buy a subscription. I think it would be! I talked with a friend this morning who is amazing at this couponing stuff and she gave me some new ideas on how to organize my coupons. She uses a binder and slips the coupons into baseball card holders so they are easier to see. I want to try that seen how I have a ton now!
Tomorrow I will once again have a couple hours to myself as I am taking a Literacy class at the library to gain some new insight into teaching my children. Sariah often tells me that she wants to read words so I hope this class will give me some ideas to help teach a 3 year old how to read. She is amazing! She could recognize all the letters by 25 months! I wanted JJ to take the class with me but he’s really busy with school and I want him to be successful with his experiments so he can get a good job without getting post-doctorate. 5 more years of school is long enough for me!
With all this time to myself I am feeling a little guilty but I know it is not going to be the norm.

that’s being mommy isn’t it? feeling guilty whenever we are not by their side, yet, it is proven that me-time do make a better-mommy… so get that guilty feeling off and enjoy your me-time completely… so that your mommy power could be re-charged…*wink*

I started couponing in October – i use the binder/baseball card sleeves too. It has changed my life – saved me lots of money. I no longer pay for toothpaste, shampoo, razors – I usually get paid to take them out of the store (CVS). Rice, tea, mustard, many things are free at the grocery store. Good Luck! There is lots of good info on the web!
