Rebekah who has not been in a sling for a few months has recently wanted to be carried around in it again. I don’t mind at all because carrying her around in a sling makes it easy for me to do things around the house while carrying her at the same time as well as keeping her happy and quiet. When she was younger she would sit in the sling and play with my watch for hours. With the kids playing with my watch all the time it is now broken but that is why I buy cheap watches – Patek watches are not for moms :)

Rebekah is about 22 pounds now and and carrying her around in a sling makes her feel a lot lighter. A lot of people think that wearing your baby will cause stress on your neck and back but it is completely the opposite. The sling distributes the baby’s weight across your body putting weight on your shoulders and hips as well.

If you have a baby who loves to be held I would highly suggest buying or making a sling. I made this ring sling in an hour using a pattern I found online another sling I have is from Slinglings.com

Slings are very beneficial. Also you can nurse your babies quite easily and transportation of baby becomes easier too.
