My Valentines

I really enjoyed my Valentines. JJ made me a card with a poem that he wrote in Latin. He found his high school Latin dictionary and spent two hours writing a poem in Latin. It was really sweet. Saturday evening he also gave me some Lindt chocolates. I love Lindt chocolates, which are from Switzerland. I gave JJ some Resses Peanut Butter Chocolates which are his favourite chocolates.

During the afternoon we dropped the kids off with a couple that we swap babysitting with. I love doing babysitting swaps because the kids get to play with other kids and I don’t feel guilty having someone babysit for free because I know that I  will be babysitting their kids for free soon.

A couple months ago when we went to Olive Garden for our 4th anniversarry we got food poisoning so the Manager gave us a gift card to “make up for it”. We used the gift card for our Valentines lunch but passed on the salad (we are pretty sure that is what made us sick). Instead we had soup with our entrees, I have never thought much of Olive Garden’s soups but I noticed they had a new soup ‘Chicken & Gnocchi’ which is so good! I will definitely be having that again the next time I go to Olive Garden.

It was freezing on Saturday and we got a lot of snow so walking around the parking lot looking for our car was not fun. JJ is much better at remembering where we park than I am but he forgot at that time. The problem is that our car is Silver just like almost every other car. We need to paint it neon green or put it on one of those car lifts or something to find it more easily!

Overall it was a very nice day together.

Receiving Valentine gift from the ones we love is the most wonderful things, especially if those are made by themself.

Sounds like a nice date. I have had so many problems remember where I park the car. Last year I left it at the Atlanta Airport while I flew to NYC, and it took me almost an hour to find it. The security guy told me it’s a good idea to take a picture of the spot you put it in with your camera or cell phone. I’ve been doing it ever since. It really helps especially in big garages.
