Three years ago when I was pregnant with Sariah, JJ and I would go swimming often at the BYU-Idaho pool. One of those times I caught Athletes Foot. I searched online for natural cures and several websites listed antiseptic mouthwash and since I had some of that already I tried it and it worked very well. I had to soak my feet in it a few times a day for a week and each time it would completely take away the burning and itching feeling for a several hours.
A little over a week ago I got Athletes Foot again after going to the pool at my Brother-in-law’s apartment. This time it has been so bad at night that I could not sleep so I got some anti-fungal cream which only makes it worse so I have opted to soak my feet in the antiseptic mouthwash for a bit in the middle of the night.
With my luck I will probably get it again in a few years. Next time I will remember to save my money and just stick with the mouthwash.

My friend has it and its painful right? sometimes itchy too…
she kept going back to the pharmacies to get the ‘usual’ medication… but she never tried this method before, maybe I should let her know.

Yep, very painful and itchy! Luckily it is not a regular occurance for me. Make sure to tell her Antiseptic Mouthwash, regular mouthwash will not work.

I’ve never had that, but it’s good to know.
