There is so much I would like to do our new house like putting a new fence up, painting the walls, HVAC system and a new kitchen. We can afford paint and we could build a fence ourselves but the HVAC and new Kitchen probably wont happen unless we either win a home makeover or somehow obtain a large sum of cash 
However I still enjoy looking at sites like InvitingHome.com and planning out my dream kitchen. I like the ceramic tile and large windows in my kitchen but we don’t have much counter space and the cabinets and counters are so ugly! My dream kitchen would have flat top stove (they are so easy to clean!) and a small kitchen island for extra counter and cabinet space.
While looking at InvitingHome.com today I learned about one modern trend which is putting corbels on kitchen counters (pictured on the left) as counter brackets. I think they look beautiful! These wood corbels would also look great on a living room or bedroom wall with a plant or a cute family picture on top of it. To complete the design, have matching or complementing molding along the wall! InvitingHome.com also has some new environmentally friendly moulding available to help you design your ‘green’ home!

Hope 2009 is a great year for all of your wee family!
I think I have the kitchen you are after,we just upgraded our kitchen we have the flat cooktop built into the Granite couter top with a small Island where we can sit on high up stools for breakfast!!!!
We knocked out the Kitchen window & now have beautiful French doors we can now walk out to the upper deck,its so nice…We also have pot lighting throughout the lower level…Its like weve moved into a New Home….& I love it….:)

Yeah it does look like a new home, I really like what you guys did with the kitchen .. the only thing is the cupboards seem so high up … probably just because I am so short.
