Early Anniversary And Food Poisoning

On Saturday JJ and I went to Olive Garden to celebrate our anniversay which is actually on the 21st but we are going to be travelling to Alabama that weekend so we celebrated early.

I have two cousins from Scotland who are attending school at BYU as well and with finals this week they were busy as well but they were kind enough to take turns babysitting while the other studied.

After dropping Sariah and Bekah off at my cousin’s apartment we went to the lab JJ is working at so he could check on his experiment. I went to his lab when he did an internship at Boise State as well and at both labs JJ’s section was the cleanest area. He’s not the typical messy scientist he likes to have things organized and neat. I never did get to see the lab in Washington because they had very strict security and with me not being a citizen it would have taken a long time to get a visitors pass for me.

After the lab we went to Olive Garden. Our waiter seemed to hate his job and had no personality at all but we still gave him a little tip. After that we went to Target to look at booster seats for Sariah since Rebekah is getting too big for her infant seat. We are think of buying this seat, it goes from 22-80 lbs. I am hoping to get my little sister’s booster seat next time we drive up so we wont have to worry about buying anymore carseats unless the infant seat we have no longer becomes safe when we have another baby.

After looking around Target we went back home to have some cake that we had at home and then went to go pick the kids up.

That evening I spoke with my sister on the phone and a couple hours later both JJ and I felt really sick. We are pretty sure we did not have the stomach flu so we think we got food poisoned at Olive garden. I was more ill than JJ so we think it may have been the salad because I ate a lot more salad  than he did. I am going to call Olive Garden later on today to find out if they have had problems with people getting sick. I feel better but not 100% I have still not eaten anything as I have no appetite. I have probably lost more weight this weekend than I could have on the best diet pill.

I just went to church in the morning because my Bishop wanted to talk to me and I figured I better go since we wont be there for the next two Sundays. He asked me to be a Humanitarian Aid leader which I am excited about. It will be great to work with the rest of the Relief Society to help people all over the world. I am going to be meeting with the Relief Society Presidency in January to discuss projects. We never went to any of our church meetings,  though and JJ and I slept all day just waking up to change diapers, get the kids food and put on movies for them.

Not very fun being sick when your kids are full of energy. Now the house is very messy so I have a lot cleaning to do today but I still have no energy because I don’t feel like eating, maybe I should just make my self eat something. Maybe just follow the BRAT (banana, rice, applesauce and toast) diet?

oh dear!!! I have very weak stomach, so getting food poisoning is something that I’m very familiar with… sometimes, there can be others who dine with me and are fine, but I can be turn out so bad, my back can’t be straightened when I see the doctor….

so girl, trust me, I know how you feel *hugs* especially when you’ve got 2 attention-seeking kids…

forget about the messiness in the house… you need time to get back the energy….
