I Am Related To The Ghost Of Bell Inn!

My sister Sara-Jayne who has done extensive research on our family history told me about the Ghost Of Bell Inn story. I think I should make this our family’s Halloween ghost story!!!
Bell Inn is a hotel in Essex, England. It is a story about Catherine (Kitty) Carnham who married a bad tempered Reverend who was much older than herself. Having enough of her unhappy marriage Kitty ventured out to enjoy the sights and live of London where she met Handsome Lord Dalmeny whose name was Lord Archibald John Primrose who is my 7th cousin 8 times removed (thank you Sara-Jayne 
) For those of you who know my family my mom’s name is Primrose. Kitty married Lord Dalmeny so yes, she had two husbands at the same time! More interesting the two husbands became friends after Kitty’s death.
In 2001 a fire broke out at Bell Inn but a painting of Kitty that hung on the wall was not damaged!
If I ever have the chance to visit Essex, England I will need to stay at this Inn

So it was late last night when I wrote this but it was Lord John Primrose our 5th cousin 10 times removed that she was married to.
Also, the article spells her name as Carnham when it is Canham.
Another interesting thing to note is that John died within 3 years of Kitty’s death, some say of a broken heart.

creepy! but hey, I wouldn’t want to stay at the Inn, but would LOVE to see the painting!

I want to stay there too! That sounds cool!
One of our ancestors also haunts a house in Maryland. She is the Grey Lady of Maidstone.
