I believe that it is important for husbands and wives to compromise. JJ and I have done really well at compromising over the last 4 years. Right now we both have different views on something. JJ wants me to stop nursing Rebekah (almost 15 months) “because she’s too old and she talks which makes it weird” while I know that Bekah is not ready to be weaned and I don’t want to go through what I went through weaning Sariah were she cried for me to nurse her over a 2 month period but apparently JJ doesn’t remember. I weaned Sariah at 14 months because I was 8 months pregnant and did not want to be nursing two babies at once, surprisingly it was when Bekah was born that Sariah stopped wanting to be nursed.  I just think it would be better for Bekah to slowly wean and stop when she wants to.

Last night JJ had this ‘great’ idea that Sariah and I should go on a vacation for a week while he watches Bekah who will magically forgets about nursing because I wont be there. First of all we don’t have extra money for a vacation. It did get me thinking about what kind of vacation Sariah and I would go on if we had the money. The first thing I thought of was a for a commercial I saw for cruises that lets you pet dolphins. Sariah loves dolphins! I also thought that it would be nice to visit my sister in Edmonton. I have only been to Edmonton once when I was a kid and I don’t remember much of it. I went to the Mall Of America last year so it would be interesting to see how West Edmonton Mall compares to it.

of course I would love for Rebekah to come too … but on the other habd how is JJ going to watch Bekah for a week when he’s in school?

Hmmm… that’s an unusual way of weaning off isn’t it? What if the plan backfired? Will JJ be able to handle it then? I can imagine the tantrum!

Hmmm…I don’t think that’ll be the way to do it.
