This weekend started off with everything going wrong then busy and finished off very relaxing.

Friday evening it seemed that everything went wrong. My sisters friends were supposed to be at my house in the afternoon and I was hoping they would be able to pick up my cousins from Scotland who were coming over for dinner because JJ was taking a test that night and coming home late. However my JJ came home before my sister or her friends got here so I quickly left after JJ arrived to pick up my cousins even though I shouldn’t be driving in the dark since my glasses are not anti-reflective. I went to go pick up my cousins at one of the buildings at BYU. There were no parking spots available because of all the mission reunions going on so I stopped off in front of one of the buildings and called my cousin whose phone wouldn’t ring but she got my message so she did call me back and they all came to the car. However when I went to start the car it would not start because the battery had died!!! I then set off to find someone with jumper cables when I did we tried to jump start the car but it would still not start. I figured I had no choice but to call a tow truck, I then realized I had forgotten my wallet! I prayed to know what to do and I received inspiration to ask someone else for jumper cables. I told one of my cousins that maybe we should ask someone else and he said the lady behind us looked like she wasn’t going anywhere soon. So I went over and asked her and she did have jumper cables. We then tried again to jump start the car and it worked! However my other two cousins had left. So we drove around the parking lot until they came back. When we got to my house where my sister and her friends had finally arrived. We had pizza and Sariah and Rebekah were so excited to receive ‘My Little Ponies’ from Sara-Jayne my twin sister.

Saturday was the busy day. We went to Salt Lake City for General Conference.  It rained all day and one very kind person gave me an umbrella while I was walking from one building to another with Bekah in the sling. It was kind of neat to run into people that we weren’t expecting to. My sister and I saw several people we knew from Canada and JJ saw someone he knew from Tennessee. That evening JJ went to a conference session that was just for the guys 12 and over with his brother. Sara-Jayne, my daughters and I stayed with my brother-in-law’s wife, Kristian. Sara-Jayne suggested that we go to Ladies night at the Deseret Book store. I knew rain and darkness would really not be good for non-anti-reflective glasses so I had Kristina drive my car :) The Ladies night was alright. I actually won something! A pattern and fabric to make a cupcake shaped bag. Afterwards we went to Red Robins for dinner with the guys.

Sunday truely was a day of rest! We just stayed home and watched the last two sessions of conference online. It was so much easier to listen when Sariah and Bekah could play with their toys and take naps at the same time. I made soup and rolls for everyone including 3 of my sisters friends for dinner. They left to go back to Edmonton soon after dinner. It was sad that the visit with my sister was so quick especially since Sariah LOVED her time with ‘Auntie’ but it was a fun visit.
