I Wanted To Watch The Opening Ceremonies Live!

JJ and I woke up at 5 am to watch the opening ceremonies live which according to all the NBC comercials would be at 7 am eastern time. All we got were news and so we tried again at 7 am and still no opening ceremonies so I checked online and learned that they will not be shown here until 6:30 pm while the first events are schedule for 4:30 pm our time! This is annoying CBC (in Canada) always shows the olympic opening ceremonies live no mater what time it is on.
Watching the news we did learn about the fighting going on between Russia and Georgia which is just awful especially since the olympics should be a time of peace.

NBC has paid billions of dollars to be the only company to broadcast the Olympics. The Opening Ceremony is always in Primetime TV. Now a lot of the events and finals will be live EST. I’m really excited about that!

I wasn’t too happy with NBC’s olympic coverage yesterday. Eventhough there were events going on yesterday afternoon and evening they did not show anything live.

Ooops! I’m a little lucky for this year’s olympic ‘cos its held in China, not too much of a time lap from Singapore and furthermore, I’m a SAHM now, so I really get a chance to watch the gymnastics! hooray!
Saw the entire opening ceremony. It was Spectacular!
