Yesterday my family came here to Utah from British Columbia to visit us which I have been looking forward to a while and so has Sariah, who just loves to be with family members. For the last few days she had been talking about them. However, yesterday morning she was woken up at 9:30 by Rebekah banging on her bedroom door and she was tired and quiet all morning. She never ate breakfast and after her bath while I was cutting her finger nails she fell asleep on my lap so I put her back to bed where she slept until she was woken up by my two little sisters who ran into her room to “see if she was awake”. Even after these two extra hours of sleep she still acted very tired and never ate lunch.
My dad wanted to check out some hotels in the area so I went with him to act as a navigator and my twin sister came as well. We left the babies with my mom and sisters. After my dad booked a hotel we headed back to my apartment where an elderly woman drove into my Dad’s SUV. There is a bad dent and scrape but no one was hurt and it was just a low impact crash. We were just happy that my youngest sister never came with us because her booster seat was by the door that was hit. We were waiting outside in the unbearable heat for an hour for the police to show up. Hopefully everything works well for my dad, he is trying to sell it and actually just re-insured it for an extra month just before coming down here.
Back to Sariah, I took her temperature later on in the day while at the hotel and she had a fever of 101 degrees Fahrenheit. I gave her some children’s Ibuprofen and she fell asleep at the hotel. We decided to leave her there for the night since the hotel room is a lot cooler than our apartment which will probably be good for her. I hope she is better today, this is only her 3rd time ever being sick and it is just awful seeing my usually happy girl be so miserable.

Aww…Melissa. i am glad you are all ok after the accident.how is Sariah doing today? Maddy had that once and we took her to the doctor. it ended up being a virus and we had to alternate Tylenol/moltrin every 4 hours. she got better after a week of that. then once she had a fever and we took her in and she ended up having strep throat from big sister. i’d take her in if this continues for another day. i hope she gets better real soon.

accidents like that could be fatal at times, it was your family’s lucky day especially your youngest sis, who was not there…
I feel the same way about my younger one too, because he is hardly ill, once he REALLY IS DOWN, my heart aches much more.

I sure hope she feels better soon. It is probably just a bug. Too bad it happened while you have company. That was too bad about your Dad’s van.
