When we first moved to Lethbridge, I was going to school. We were living on student loans, but BC Student Loans wouldn't give us money because we moved to Alberta, and Alberta Student Loans wouldn't give us money because we hadn't been here long enough.

We had $5,000 to live on for a year (tuition came out of that). That was tough.

I remember standing in the drugstore debating to use our last $20 for diapers or for food. One time, I rolled all our pennies, took them to the bank, and used the cash to buy a bag of apples.

I do not miss those times.

Wouldn't it be nice to still be able to get a week's worth of groceries for $10? I practically lived on Ramen too lol. Nate used to give blood too before we got married but also stopped when they screwed up the same way.
