When we first sat down with our realtor he asked us to describe our dream house. I laughed and explained that I wasn’t looking for a dream house yet! If I was explaining my dream house it would be something like this 7 bedroom house from the Hilton Head rentals website:

I just wanted something affordable that we would be happy in for at least 5 years while my husband is in Grad school. I didn’t really want to live in a Condo because I want to be able to do laundry at midnight without worrying about bothering the neighbors. I am happy to announce that we have finalized the offer on a nice little 3 bedroom house! I can’t wait to put Rebekah into her own room instead of having her sleep in the living room. There is no swimming pool but there is a river that runs through our backyard!
I don’t think I could find a more perfect house for us at 124,000 than this house! Now I need to get back to doing all the paper work for it.

It is hard to find a nice place for that price in most places. I am originally from British Columbia and land itself is worth a lot more than 124,000!
