While at the Provo library today my husband and I signed up for the adult summer reading and also signed our daughters up for the children summer reading program. My husband seemed very excited about the program, he loves to read history books. I am excited about the program as well because now I will be motivated to actually read a book cover to cover which I haven’t done since Rebekah was born 10 months ago. We need to write up a review of each book we read and then submit the reviews for prize drawings! There will be weekly drawings for prizes and the grand prize is a Wii, that would be a very cool prize to win.
I checked out a bunch of zoo animal books for our girls since I am starting a little infant/toddler program with them and our first unit is on zoo animals and when we finish the unit up in a few weeks we are going to go to the zoo! I am incorporating ABC’s, colours, shapes and counting into the unit and my two year old sariah is loving it! She counts up to 10 now and Rebekah (10 months) says two every time I say one, which is so cute.
