The Weight Gap Is Becoming Smaller

Eight month old Rebekah is now only two and half pounds lighter than big sister Sariah (24 months). No wonder I am always being asked if they are twins. May not be long until the little one is bigger!

Sariah is 31 inches and 20 lbs 9 oz. I was a concerned at first as she weighed 24 lbs in January but when I learned that she is at the 3rd percentile for both height and weight I was reassured that she is very well proportioned. Sariah was given the prediction of being 5′2 at her full adult height so she will be about the same height as me.

Rebekah is 27 inches and 18 lbs even, this puts her at the 41st percentile for height and 44th for weight so both my girls are the perfect weight for their height.

I’ve learned that a lot of oldest children are the smallest. As long as Sariah is healthy, she should be fine.

It’s fun to read about their specifics though. I don’t have kids yet, so I don’t have any experience of my own. I like to know what you have to know and deal with as a parent.
