lunar_eclipse-a.jpgWe watched the Lunar Eclipse last night. There was a great big cloud in front of the moon at first so we had to wait for the cloud to pass but we were actually able to see the moon turn red which was really cool. My husband told the story about how over 500 years ago Christopher Columbus’s life was saved by a moon eclipse about 500 times!

I bundled the kids up and took them outside with us despite my husband wanting them to stay inside so we could have a “romantic” eclipse viewing. Well, maybe during the next moon eclipse we can lay a blanket out on our lawn and lean on eachother as we sip sparkling cider in  Riedel glasses watching the moon turn to the colour of love. ;)

Horaayy..there are 3 comment(s) for me so far ;)

I’m glad you were able to see it. I went out with the girls, and it was so overcast. Lindsay was disappointed. Well, the next one is in 2010, so maybe we’ll be able to see it then.

I think your plan for the next one is great!

Cool :D We wanted to see it but it was too overcast :( I’ve never seen a lunar eclipse, just a solar one.

I saw the beginning of it when I left work and the end of it when I got home. It was pretty neat.
