I was on my on my sister-in-law’s blog and found this Obama radio ad. I agree with her, it’s the best Obama ad I’ve heard!

I watched a documentary about people with disabilites overcoming challenges. One story that I could relate to was about a woman who had Cerebral Palsy, her condition was a lot like my aunt who has severe Cerebral Palsy however this woman was born in the 70’s only a decade later than my aunt but there was a lot more information about cerebral palsy at that time. This woman recieved physical therapy and speech therapy, she even went to college, got married and had a baby. It kind of made me sad that my aunt was not given the same therapy when she was young and made me wonder what her life would have been like now.
Children who have Cerebral Palsy today are given even more advanced cerebral palsy therapy. It really is amazing to see how education, research and technology can help those with severe disabilities become independant and live “normal” lives.
