I often think how hard it must be for adults to see the people who took care of them as children to need someone to take care of them as their parents become unable to care for themselves due to failing health and old age. It would be a difficult decision to know if it would be best to take care of a parent themselves or to have that parent live in a care home.

One website, bettercaring.com has devoted itself to help people asking these questions in Britain. They have compiled a vast amount of information about care homes with reviews conducted on different care homes. People can also search for care homes close to them.

This is also a great resource for people to learn about different diseases such as parkinson’s and also to connect with others in the same situation you are in on their forums.
