Too Young For Solids?

Why am I still awake? BecauseĀ I am nursing my daughter all night, she is always hungry now. I feed her for about 2 hours and then I give her 2 ounces of formula and then feed her again, then give her more formula and she is still hungry!

She is only 4 months old so I don’t really want to give her solids yet but Sariah was acting hungry all the time at 6 months so I started giving her solids and that solved the problem. I will set up an appointment with her doctor next week when she is due for her 4 month immunizations and see what he thinks.

I started Maddy on solids at 4m. Well, spoonfeeding baby cereal anyway. Never in the bottle. She did great.

I hope you can find some answers.

You can try her on cereal at 4 months, but since your doctor appointment is coming up soon anyway I’d just wait until then. I know what you are feeling!

I remember thinking at Christmastime last year that if I had to feed a baby as often as you were feeding Aron I would put him on solids early. But you did wait until 6 months didn’t you?

I tried to give him solids but he refused them. The doctors said that since he was over weight to not worry about it. When he was around 8 months he began trying solids but it wasn’t until he was a year old that he really began eating solids regularly. He still wants to nurse. I am trying hard to wean him. He now eats a lot. He will eat two hot dogs and still want more food. I am going to see his doctor tomorrow to see if he is too overweight. Why can’t my kids eat normal? Jon and Vika eat too little and Aron overeats.
