There seems to be so much competition to build the biggest and tallest buildings structures. Of course people take pride in their area having those buildings.   Japan has the tallest building, Canada has the biggest mall and  2 months ago the US overtook Canada’s place of having the tallest tower.  Dubai is currently constructing a tower that they plan will exceed the height of any other structure.

Here is a list of the top 5 tallest structures in the world:

  1. KVYL-TV Mast in North Dakota, USA (636.8 m)
  2. CN Tower in Toronto, Ontario, Canada (553.3 m)
  3. Ostankino Tower in Moscow, Russia (537 m)
  4. Sears Tower in Chicago, USA (527.3 m)
  5. Taipei 101 in Taiwan (509.2 m)

Other tall structures include The Tashkent Tower in Uzbekistan at 375 meters, The Kiev TV Tower in the Ukraine at 385 meters and the Stratosphere in Las Vegas, USA at 350 meters.
