I have all ready had the flu this year as well as everyone in my immediate family including my parents and siblings. The influenza “flu” virus is extremely contagious and while it just lasts for a short time and can affect the elderly and people who have diseases such as diabetes a lot worse.

Here are some ways to fight the flu naturally.

  • Get adequate rest and exercise.
  • Drink plenty of water - avoid alcohal and caffine
  • Eat at least 6 servings of fruits and vegetables daily
  •  Boost your immune system with herbal and nutritional supplements. Some good supplements to take are iron, zinc, vitamin A and C, echinacea and ginseng.

Of course this will not prevent all illnesses and becoming ill once in a while can also improve our immune systems.
