Alzheimer’s is a disease that attacks the brain and causes people to have severe memory loss and confusion. It affects about 1 in 10 people over the age of 65. With alzheimer’s being that common it is likely that many of you have seen a loved one suffer from Alzheimers. We can all do our part to help find a cure for Alzheimers and ways to help its sufferers live a more fulfilling life.
September 21st is world Alzheimer’s Day and actionalz.org is encouraging people to host a “Purple Party” to help raise awareness about Alzheimers and also to help generate donations to continue research on finding a cure. All donations made in september will be matched dollar-for-dollar, up to one million dollars by The Harrah’s Foundation. It sure would be wonderful if everyone together could raise two million dollars for the fight against Alzheimer’s!
Actionalz.org has Purple Party ideas to help you start your party planning. If you commit to raising at leat $150 at your party you can recieve a free party planning kit or host a round to remember golf event and recieve a free golf kit.
Celebrate World Alzheimers Day by throwing a fun party for your family and friends. Everyone loves to be invited to a party!
