Advantages Of Baby Slings

sa400110.JPG Most babies love to be held often and that can make doing housework and other activities difficult, baby slings make these activites so much easier to accomplish. They are also great for getting around crowded places where it’s hard to push a stroller around like the airport and grocery stores (you can have your baby in the sling and still have your hands free to push the shopping cart!)

When my first daughter was 4 months old I made a ring sling, it took a little bit to get used to but within a few days we both loved it. Both of my babies are less fussy and fall asleep easier when they are the sling. Now I also have a sling from slinglings.com, where they are custom sa400113.JPG made to fit you well. The ring slings can be adjusted so they are good for sharing with other people but it’s also nice to have a sling made for your size because it makes putting the sling on quicker. It did take me a little pratice to figure out how to put the sling on, at first I thought the sling was too big for me but once I looked at the pictured examples that came with the sling I was able to put it on properly and realized that it was a good fit.

Aren’t both my babies so cute in the sling? My 17 month old is being held in the “hip carry” position and the 1 month old is in the “kangaroo cary” position.

I think you should be a sling model and your cute little babies too.
