Rebekah’s First Doctor’s Visit

Today I took Bekah for her Newborn Screening and she had her first check up since leaving the hospital. It was so sad seeing the nurse prick the baby’s finger and squeeze blood onto 4 circles for the PKU test, it seemed to take forever!
Yesterday while I was holding Rebekah I told my husband that Sariah was her size at a month old and sure enough today we found out that Rebekah has already gained a pound, at 9 days old she is now 8 lbs 13 oz. When Sariah was 13 days old she was 6 lbs 9 oz.
The doctor says that Rebekah is doing great and is very healthy.

I could never watch the shot or blood tests, it would just make me cry. I was so thankful my husband was always able to go with me to the infant checkups. He would sit with our daughter & the nurse while the “bad” stuff was going on and I would go pay the dr. bill!

Sounds like it was a great appt. She’s doing well, that’s awesome.
I take both girls to all of their visits because of the time and Adam being in school. It’s hard to see it, but it’s for the best. Oh, and at least you get some extra cuddle time in afterwards.

By the time I get down there she will be huge! shes probably like 1/2 Sariahs weight right now.
