post Category: Health And Safety, pregnancy post postJune 23, 2007

This morning I went to visit my midwife and she confirmed that the baby is head down, her heart beat sounds good and everything else indicates there should be no problems. The baby should be healthy even if born today but of course I would rather her be born within 2 weeks of the due date.

My blood pressure is at a very good level of 110 over 80. The midwife did give me warning signs of high blood pressure and said that it is important to get checked out if any of these symptoms occur as it can put me and or the baby at risk and even lead to a stroke.

The warning signs are:

  • Vision Distortions (blurry vision, double vision).
  • Swelling (feet, ankles, hands etc…).
  • Pain right below the breast bone that is worse than heartburn and wont go away.

Horaayy..there are 5 comment(s) for me so far ;)

What a great appt. Looks like everything is starting to prepare for the big arrival. I’m glad you’re aware of the symptoms of high blood pressure. Be careful with the moving and the heat.

Not much longer now. :)

Melissa, I’m so glad to hear about your blood pressure. High Blood pressure was a big problem for me with all of my pregnancies. It won’t be long now!
