Would You Find Out Your Unborn Baby’s Gender At 6 Weeks?

Less than a week ago a new test was put on the market on the internet that can reveal whether an unborn baby is a girl or a boy at six weeks. The test costs 189 GBP which is about 376 USD. The test is said to be 98% accurate.

Would you want to find out the baby’s gender this early? I wouldn’t. I don’t see any reason to find out this early and for me it is definitely not worth the money. Some people say that people want to get things ready for the baby and 20 weeks isn’t long enough.

Many concerned people feel that this will raise the abortion rate if a person is wanting to have a particular gender.  The abortion rate in Britian is very high and many ultrasound technicians are no longer telling people during ultrasound scans what they are having.

I wouldn’t mind finding out. However, I am interested in how reliable the test really is.

I agree Melissa. Knowing the baby’s sex too early might make abortions more tempting, especially those from cultures where having a boy is most important.
