Keeping Baby Dry With Cloth Diapers

One disadvantage to using cloth diapers is that they don’t absorb moisture away from the baby’s skin like disposable diapers.  This can cause diaper rashes if the diaper is not changed right away. There is one way to keep your baby’s bottom dry, though – Use a fleece liner. These are very easy to make yourself. All you need to do is cut strips of 14 in X 5.5 inches of polar or micro fleece. No stitiching or serging is required fleece does not fray! Line dry or lay out to dry, don’t put fleece in the dryer.

Put the fleece liners next to your baby’s skin it will cause the moisture to go through the fleece and absorb into the cotton, leaving your baby’s bottom dry!

Now that we are potty training, it seems like Madison has more diaper rash than ever before and she only wears diapers at night!

cool tip! I’m not sure I’ll ever have the patience to use cloth diapers, (though I think they’re environmentally fabulous!) if I ever do I’ll remember this. Good luck with your pregnancy. I’m sure it’s exhausting chasing one little one around and growing another one inside.
