I am now 21 weeks pregnant and I have felt the baby becoming more and more active. Sariah was also very active while she was inside me but she seemed to be most active at night and early mornings when I was wanting to sleep. This baby seems to me the most active during the day. Maybe he or she will be better at sleeping during the nights!
I have been looking at pregnancy magazines with Sariah trying to help her understand that a baby in the mommy’s tummy is like a baby after it’s born. I always ask her “where’s the baby and she will point to my tummy and give it a kiss but I wasn’t really expecting her to fully understand the concept until I was close to delivering but last night I was talking to someone who was watching her new grand daughter and Sariah pointed to the baby, said “baedy” and then pointed to my tummy and said “baedy”. The grandmother then asked if I was pregnant.
Sariah was so gentle with the baby, even at her young age I think she will make a wonderful big sister. Of course there will be some jealousy but hopefully it wont last too long.

well … obviously you did write it down here .. hahaha. I meant down on a paper, in your journal or a scrapbook page or something. It would make a really cute scrapbook page.

That’s so sweet. I doubt she’ll get into the jealous phase. As long as you include her and talk about the baby now, she’ll be ok.

You’re lucky. Madison’s 3 and she doesn’t get it at all.

Lisa, I was a preschool teacher when I was pregnant with Sariah and the only children who understood that I was going to have a baby were the ones whose mom’s had just had babies.
