24 Weeks Pregnant

Thursday, March 29th, 2007

Once again it is thursday and time to announce that I am 24 weeks pregnant :)
My husband came home for lunch today and apologized for kicking me last night, I was like I don’t remember you kicking me. He said that I was talking this morning about how I didn’t get much sleep because of the kicking. I then explained that it wasn’t him, it was the baby who was kicking me all night!

This baby is just like her big sister Sariah, both were very active babies in the womb and Sariah is still very active.

The weather is warmer now and I am constantly thirsty. I know that I should be striving to drink at least 64 ounces of water and  I don’t think I’m doing that each day.  With summer coming I know I should make sure to drink more than that and maybe I wont get as thirsty.

Back Again

Wednesday, March 28th, 2007

Well I have my blog back up and this time it only took 1&1 5 days instead of 7 (being sarcastic of course).  Today I tried calling a different number - (866) 258-5180 which allowed me to actually talk to someone who spoke english and I even got to talk to the supervisor. He spent too much time making excuses for the length of time it took and how it can’t be their fault. I was just like I don’t care whose fault it is, I just want this fixed today and then I’m moving on to a different webhosting company.

He told me it would be fixed within an hour. Four hours later I called back because it still had not been fixed, I asked to speak with the same person and he fixed it while I was on the phone with him.

I now have no time left on my phone for week day calls because of having to call these 1 and 1 internet people. Hopefully people only call on the weekends until April 6th.

New Phones From Sprint Nextel

Wednesday, March 28th, 2007

These days many people, my self included only have cell phones. I would much rather have a cell phone over a landline since with our plan it would be cheaper than having a landline, also it is more versatile, we are not just limited to using our phone at home we can take it with us all most anywhere we go.

I have never used Sprint Nextel’s services but I have spoken to many people who do. Most of the people who seem to use and enjoy Sprint Nextel the most are teenagers or people in their early 20’s. I have heard mostly good things about Sprint Nextel from older people but also a few complaints, mostly from people who live in remote areas where it is hard to get a connection.

Wirefly is a great site to go to if you are looking for a new cell phone. Right now they are highlighting new Nextel cell phone. Wirefly has some great offers for free phones and rebates on their websites that are worth checking out. You can view a wide variety of nextel phones on wirefly’s nextel catalog, including the new “walkie talkie” feature!

23Weeks!

Thursday, March 22nd, 2007

Today I am 23 weeks pregnant!  I am starting to feel uncomfortable and I have the same pain on my upper right side in the area that I started to have with Sariah at 7 months. When I was pregnant with her my doctor thought there was something wrong with my galbladder and sent me to the hospital for an ultrasound. It turned out that everything was  fine with my galbladder and the pain went away soon after she was born. I was told afterwards that the pain was caused by the baby stretching my ligaments and it will probably get worse with each pregnancy.

One interesting fact about being 23 weeks is that it is the official week that babies are considered viable outside the womb. Of course it will mean a long hospitialization and possible disabilities and other problems. I found a website about Preemie stories of babies born at 23 weeks. It would be so hard to have a baby that premature but it is also comforting to know that if I were to go into early labour that my baby could have a good chance at survival.

It’s A Girl!

Wednesday, March 21st, 2007

With everything that’s going on with my site I realized  that I haven’t yet annonced that we are having another girl! We are both very happy and excited to have our new little girl. I have a twin sister and it was so much fun always having a  friend at home to play with, I hope that Sariah and her sister will become best friends as well.

I got a voice mail from the dr’s office today saying that the nurse who took my blood messed something up so I need to come in and redo it. Well I am terrified of needles and I do not want to go through that again. I do however need to get the RH- immungloubin shot during my next visit in May.

Sariah Is One!

Tuesday, March 20th, 2007

sa400651.JPGSariah turned a  year old yesterday. My husband got her a floaty and we went swimming at the BYU-Idaho pool.  She hardly moved at all in the pool and her fists were clenched so tight that her hands were blue.

She did love the attention, the little girls in the neighborhood came to say happy birthday to her and friends I saw at school wished her a happy birthday.

Sariah is little for her age she is now 16 lbs 9 oz and 26.5 inches. She is at the 3rd percentile for weight and below the 3rd for height. Her BMI is at the 50th percentile so she is perfectly proportionate.

Finally Up Again!

Monday, March 19th, 2007

First of all I want to thank everyone who contacted to me to express their concerns about the problems I had with this blog for the last week. It truly was a very frustrating experience and it is good to have everything back. I will get working on my background and other accessories again - yes, including the baby widget.

Last Tuesday, I lost everything that I had worked on for the last 3 months so I called my webhosting provider 1&1 (also known as 1and1, 1 and 1 or 1and1.com) .  I was told I would have it within 24 - 48 hours, this obviously did not happen so I called again on friday and was told I would recieve it within 24 - 48 hours. Again this did not happen! Now 124 hours later it is finally up. What also ticks me off is that action was not seriously taken until my husband called them, do they not take women seriously?

I am very dissatisfied with the 1&1’s customer service, and I do not recommend them. I have had others tell me that they’re webhost providers, provided a backup quickly after they called, as soon as 15 minutes later.

First Steps!

Saturday, March 10th, 2007

The moment we have been waiting for has arrived….Sariah took her first step by herself last night!

My husband and I were playing a game with her where we sat across from eachother, stood Sariah up and held her as she walked to the other person. Then we would back up and let go of our hands when she started walking. When she took a step by herself we clapped for her and she got all excited. I wonder how long it will take until she’s actually walking on her own.

Sariah just loves her walker she got for christmas from my husband’s sisters family. She takes it all over the house with her.

21 Weeks

Thursday, March 8th, 2007

I am now 21 weeks pregnant and I have felt the baby becoming more and more active. Sariah was also very active while she was inside me but she seemed to be most active at night and early mornings when I was wanting to sleep. This baby seems to me the  most active during the day. Maybe he or she will be better at sleeping during the nights!

I have been looking at pregnancy magazines with Sariah trying to help her understand that a baby in the mommy’s tummy is like a baby after it’s born. I always ask her “where’s the baby and she will point to my tummy and give it a kiss but I wasn’t really expecting her to fully understand the concept until I was close to delivering but last night I was talking to someone who was watching her new grand daughter and Sariah pointed to the baby, said “baedy” and then pointed to my tummy and said “baedy”. The grandmother then asked if I was pregnant.

Sariah was so gentle with the baby, even at her young age I think she will make a wonderful big sister. Of course there will be some jealousy but hopefully it wont last too long.

Scholarship Money

Wednesday, March 7th, 2007

Several Months ago I signed my husband up for Fastweb’s scholarship search and he ended up getting a $2,000 S.M.A.R.T grant. This really did help us out a lot. There are so many different scholarships available that we don’t really hear about and Fastweb can help you find them.

Do you Need money for college? Use FastWeb’s free scholarship search to find information on more than 600,000 scholarships!

Teeth Grinding

Monday, March 5th, 2007

My 11 month old grinds her teeth! The noise is so annoying and I’m afraid it will ruin her teeth. I don’t know if she does it in her sleep because she sleeps in a different room than us and we don’t have a baby monitor but she does it during the day and she laughs when she does it! I guess she thinks the noise is funny.

My worries were put to ease when I read what leading pediatrician, Dr. Sears said about babies grinding their teeth. He says that it is common for babies to this by twelve months and that it wont hurt baby teeth. However damage can occur if children continue to do this when their adult teeth come in. His suggestion was to take the child to the dentist to check for any damage and inquire about teeth guards for night time.

Half Way There!

Thursday, March 1st, 2007

I am now 20 weeks pregnant which means I have reached the halfways mark of my pregnancy.

I feel great and I have a lot more energy than I did when I was pregnant with Sariah, I attribute that to not having to go to school or work. I can sleep in until Sariah wakes up which is usually 9 am and I can go for nap when she does, ok I’ll admit it I sometimes go for a nap when she’s awake but she’s always beside me playing. I always nap on our couch because it is so much more comfortable than our bed. I hope that we will be able to get a new matress soon.

I actually look pregnant now! I even had someone at Walmart ask me if I was pregnant, no one asked me that until I was 7 months pregnant with Sariah. I will have to get my husband to take a picture of me so you can see what I look like.

According to ivillage my baby is about 10 ounces and 16 centimeters crown-to-rump. And the gender is starting to become more notieable. Only 2 weeks until we find out if we are having a boy or girl!
