First of all I have to say that I am so happy that I have chosen a midwife. I met with one of the midwife’s today and she had a midwifery student with her from a school in Utah. They were so nice and easy to talk to. I felt like they really took the time to understand me, unlike the clinic I went to before.
Most exciting is that they gave me a free ultrasound today, I got to see my baby! It was so wonderful to see this baby moving around, I could see that the baby had his or her legs open but I could not get a good look to see if it was a boy or a girl. The picture wasn’t too good since it was just some equipment hooked up to a laptop but the official ultrasound will be on March 15th and we will find out if it’s a girl or a boy.
When I first met with them I told them that I felt that I was 18 weeks along. The midwives were having a hard time with the ultrasound measurements to figure out how old the baby is so they had a couple other people come in and they gave it a range of 17 - 19 weeks. So for now we will just say the due date is July 19th.
Unfortunately my husband was not able to see much of the ultrasound as Sariah kept crying because she wanted to be on my lap. She liked playing with all the things on the chair. JJ ended up having to take her out of the room. Next month I will get someone to watch her so my husband can enjoy the ultrasound as well.

Please do not use Keywords for your name.That’s awesome. Sounds like you had a great appt! I’m glad all went well and you got to see a sneak peek of her–I think it’s a her. hehehehe. Keep us posted.

We will need to have a baby poll. Should I start it now or wait until the next ultrasound?

People can keep guess up until 2w before your due date. Once you have the baby, you put in the info and it calculates who was the closest and the winner. It’s fun!

It was a free ultrasound they gave me just to see how far along I was. I didn’t get any pictures but I will definatly post pictures from the ultrasound next month.
